Retatrutide hits 25% average weight loss in TRIUMPH-1, and eases knee pain and sleep apnoea
In the phase 3 TRIUMPH-1 trial in the New England Journal of Medicine, adults with obesity but no diabetes lost an average of 17.6%, 23.7% and 25.0% of body weight on 4mg, 9mg and 12mg weekly retatrutide over 80 weeks, versus 3.9% on placebo. Knee osteoarthritis pain and sleep apnoea events also fell. Retatrutide is still investigational and is not licensed in the UK.
