Foundayo (orforglipron) phase 3 trial in Japan: up to 8.7% weight loss at 72 weeks
The ATTAIN-J trial, published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, gave 238 Japanese adults with obesity-related conditions once-daily orforglipron or placebo. Average weight change at 72 weeks was -5.9% to -8.7% across the doses versus -0.6% on placebo, with mostly mild to moderate stomach side effects; the trial was small and funded by Lilly.
