Reviews policy

Members can rate and review the pharmacies The Dose Club lists. This page explains who can write a review, how reviews are checked, how scores are treated and where the Trustpilot score comes from.

1. Who can review

Any signed in member who has confirmed they are 18 or over can rate and review a pharmacy listed on The Dose Club. Each member has one rating and one review per pharmacy. You can change your rating and edit or delete your review at any time from the pharmacy's page. A suspended account cannot rate or review until the suspension ends.

2. What to write about

Review the pharmacy's service: ordering, the consultation, delivery, packaging and customer service. Do not name doses or describe what a medicine did for you. The Dose Club does not publish claims about medicines, and your prescriber is the person to talk to about your treatment. Reviews follow the community rules, so contact details, referral codes, sourcing and dose advice are not allowed.

3. What we can and cannot check

We cannot see your orders. When you write a review you confirm that you ordered from the pharmacy or used its online doctor service, and you can add the month of your last order. Both are your own statement, and the review says so next to the month. A review shows your display name and never your email address.

4. How reviews are checked

  • Automated filters read every review before it is saved. A review that breaks the rules is refused and you see the reason. One that needs a person to read it is held.
  • Reviews from accounts under 7 days old, and reviews that name a dose, are held until the moderation team has read them. Only you can see a held review until then.
  • Anyone signed in can report a review, and the moderation team answers every report within 24 hours.
  • A review is removed when it breaks this policy or the community rules: for example sourcing or selling, referral codes, contact details, dose advice, claims about what a medicine does, harassment, content that promotes eating disorders, spam, or text that is not about the pharmacy's service. A low score is never a reason to remove a review.
  • If your review is removed, the pharmacy's page tells you when you are signed in, and you can ask us about the decision.

5. Published whatever the score

Every rating counts, and every review that follows this policy is published, whatever its score. Positive and negative reviews go through the same checks and appear in the same list, and readers choose the order: newest, highest rated or lowest rated. The average on each pharmacy's page counts every member rating for that pharmacy, including ratings given without a written review.

6. No payment and no incentives

No pharmacy can pay to add, remove, reorder or hide a review, and The Dose Club receives no payment from the pharmacies it lists. We offer nothing in return for writing a review.

7. Trustpilot scores

Where a pharmacy has a Trustpilot profile, its page shows the TrustScore, the star rating, the number of reviews and how they split across the stars, with a link to read the reviews on Trustpilot. The score belongs to Trustpilot. We read it through Trustpilot's official API every six hours and show it as Trustpilot reports it, and we send Trustpilot no information about you.

We do not show the text of Trustpilot reviews, because reviews of pharmacies often make claims about medicines, which this site does not publish. Member reviews on The Dose Club and reviews on Trustpilot are kept apart, and neither changes the other.

8. Reporting a review or asking about one

Every review has a Report button. Choose a reason, add a note if it helps, and the report goes to the moderation team. To ask about a review, including your own or a decision we made about one, use the contact page or email community@thedoseclub.com. Pharmacies can contact us the same way.
