Weight-loss jab boom is putting recycling workers at risk from used needles
Recycling bosses in Coventry say more used needles from injections like Mounjaro and Wegovy are turning up on sorting lines, risking needlestick injuries and infection for staff. Many people buying privately don't get a sharps bin or disposal advice, so the message is to ask your pharmacy or GP for a sharps bin and never put needles in household or recycling bins.
