South Korea's first homegrown GLP-1 jab undercuts Wegovy and Mounjaro on price
Hanmi's efpeglenatide (Eppe) reached Korean clinics on 29 October with a four-week supply price under half of Mounjaro's starter dose and about 40% below Wegovy's. Its interim phase 3 showed 9.75% average loss at 40 weeks, more modest than rivals in separate trials. Korean customs intercepted illegal obesity-drug imports 5,030 times in eight months, over four times 2025's total.
