Retatrutide cut protein in the urine and kidney fat in people with obesity and kidney disease
In the 24-week phase 2 TRANSCEND-CKD study, Lilly's investigational triple agonist retatrutide lowered albuminuria by about 49% versus placebo, reduced pressure inside the kidney's filters and trimmed fat around the kidneys, but did not change measured kidney filtration. Retatrutide remains unlicensed in the UK.
