Lilly moves its tirzepatide plus amylin combo, EloraTZP, into phase 3
Lilly is starting phase 3 trials of EloraTZP, which pairs tirzepatide with the amylin-like drug eloralintide. In a 48-week phase 2 study the top dose gave 23.3% average weight loss against 14.8% for tirzepatide 15mg alone, but up to 27% of people on the combination stopped because of side effects, so the new trials focus on gentler dose increases.
