ASA bans first ads for oral weight-loss drugs
The ASA has banned ads by Simple Online Pharmacy and Pharmacy Online that promoted oral GLP-1s via waiting lists, interest registers and pre-orders, including before and after the Wegovy pill was licensed. The rulings make clear that oral POMs, like the injections, cannot be advertised to the public.
