US recall of compounded tirzepatide injections over sterility concerns
Apothecary Pharma has recalled 22 lots of compounded tirzepatide injections across the US because sterility could not be assured, according to an FDA notice. The products are unapproved copies, not branded Mounjaro or Zepbound, and the recall adds to regulator scrutiny of compounded GLP-1 alternatives.
