Retatrutide improved sleep apnoea in two phase 3 trials, NEJM reports
Two phase 3 trials published in the New England Journal of Medicine found weekly retatrutide cut sleep-apnoea events by about 22 to 24 more per hour than placebo after 80 weeks in adults without type 2 diabetes, and by about 14 to 15 in those with it. Side effects were mostly gut-related, and retatrutide is still an unapproved, investigational drug in the UK.
