Six months after patent expiry, cheap generics make up 74% of semaglutide sold in India
Pharmarack data show Indian semaglutide volumes rose from about 114,000 units in February to 434,000 in September after generics arrived, with generics now about 74% of units. Growth is levelling off as demand driven by occasions like weddings cools and use becomes more doctor-led.
