Wegovy pill had the steepest early uptake of any US weight-loss medicine
A US prescription-data study in Annals of Internal Medicine found the Wegovy pill passed 100,000 new prescriptions by its second month, an early uptake about 4.4 times steeper than Zepbound's. Injectable Wegovy prescriptions did not fall, so the pill mostly added new demand; the authors caution the trend may not last.
