MPs: regulated pharmacies and online providers should get secure access to patient records
The committee's report says providers currently rely on patients to confirm they meet prescribing criteria, which also burdens GPs. It asks the government to explain how the planned single patient record will help, find a temporary workaround and publish a timetable, a change that would directly affect how online weight-loss pharmacies verify eligibility.
